Perfectible Harmony - home |
A constant state of "Perfect Harmony" would mean a state of relationship that never deviates
even in the slightest from being in so perfectly in harmony that it is perceived
as unity. How Perfect Harmony can be conceived of is another matter.
We know two things to be in harmony when we sense more consonance than dissonace.
The less dissonance we sense the more harmony we perceive. For that reason, we can surmise
that perfect harmony is a complete lack of dissonance. And if it is indeed eternally perfect, it can
never waver from pure consonance. That would make Perfect Harmony perpetual consonance,
bringing the paradox of the motion perpetuating consonace exuding stillness.
As Human beings, we can only 'conceive' by relating whatever we're 'conceiving' to something
we're already familiar with. In order to conceive of a state of Perfect Harmony preexisting the
cosmos we need to abandon thinking of things being in harmony because prior to the cosmos
there were no things. Stripping away things and focusing only on the conception of harmony
leaves us only the feeling of harmony. Not only the feeling of having attained harmony,
but feeling the movement away from dissonance to the restfulness of consonance.
If you've ever felt yourself being drawn toward consonance and becoming more satisfied the closer
you come to being blended into the oneness of harmony then you can conceive of a force that not only
draws you into harmony, but gives impetus for that movement and the energy to sustain that state.
Forces, energy and 'motion towards order' are as yet inexplicable at the moment of origin. Maybe
that's because science is only looking at origins from an exclusively quantitative and material perspective.
So . . . let's just for fun consider an eternal qualitative state radiating qualitative energy.
* Could this energy have built up into what we theorize to be the singularity that banged the cosmos into existence?
* Does Perfect Harmony extend a 'harmonic field' analogous to other known fields?
* Could such a harmonic field account for the universal constants and four fundamental forces?
* Does energy from Perfect Harmony travel in waves within our cosmos and if so can we theorize
massless and substanceless particles of qualia affecting an observer?
* Now that there is a cosmos does the radiant energy from Perfect Harmony serve to affect life
within the cosmos rather than build up into another singularity?
* Could the "missing" component of quantum gravity be "missing" because it's a qualitative
rather than quantitative phenomenon?
* The speed of light is time bound but is the speed of quality instantaneous?
* Do we need to consider that the evolution of physical matter is effected whereas
the evolution of life is affected since there are both quantitative and qualitative forces at work?
* In order to attain motion, does the 'will' of living organisms need to overcome apathy and sloth
similar to the fundamental forces needing to overcome inertia and friction for material objects?
* Is the harmony which constitutes a living entity the perichoresis of being
effected in the physical form while its life force is being affected?
** If so, does the life force also effect the physicality of its host?
* Do we have enough circumstantial evidence to support a claim that the energies of "Perfect Harmony"
became manifest in seeming chaos to become the physical cosmos which is being effected and
affected into a state of perfected harmony through a process of perfectible harmony?
* Is this the direction that scholars of the first axial age were already pursuing in their various
studies of harmony alongside developing spiritual disciplines and religious traditions?
* Can we glean from the spectrum of sacred texts and contemplative practices a sense of
Perfect Harmony affecting a gradual revelation of itself across cultures?
* Was the "enlightenment" a major step in breaking away from a harmonious body of humanity into
the pursuit of individual personal fulfillment at the expense of the harmonic whole?
** And did the scientific age disrupt the harmony of rationality and intuitiveness?
* Would a renewed study of harmony that considered the concept of "Perfect Harmony" preexisting
space-time shake things up for modern science so that they may settle in a different manner?
- Does order mysteriously emerge out of chaos or is it drawn out in accord with harmony?
-- Is there really chaos or is "chaos" just the cusp at which either harmonic fields and waves
effect or 'will' affects what comes next into existence? In other words there are no
random ocurrences - just acts of will with a disposition toward harmony. BUT is it
a will toward harmony of the whole or harmony within the bounded individual?
